Pranaam – Shree Arihant Shwetamber Murti Pujak Jain Sangh (AJS) is a progression of Ghar Derasar of Canada – Brampton West; first Ghar Derasar of Canada, First Anjanshalaka Pratimaji of Canada, Only Jivit Swami Pratimaji outside of India and the most ancient pratimajis of North America.

Daily (jal) Abhishek is done with Water plus Shatrunjay Nadi Jal, Suraj Kund (Palitana) Jal, Gajpad Kund (Girnaar) Jal, Tirth Jal and Shubh Kuva (water well) Jal – and only derasar in entire North America which is open to everyone from Sunrise to Sunset (or even later) with extended and flexible timings

જે સ્થાન પર પ્રભુનો કોઈ પણ એક કલ્યાણક થયો હોય તે જગ્યા ને તીર્થ કહેવાય
જે દેરાસરને ૧૦૦ વર્ષ થી વધારે થયું હોય તેને તીર્થ કહેવાય
જે દેરાસરમાં ૧૦૦ વર્ષ થી પ્રાચીન / જુના પ્રતિમાજી હોય તેને તીર્થ કહેવાય

A derasar that has 100+ years old/ancient idol(s)/pratimaji(s) is tirth.
A derasar that has idol(s)/pratimaji(s) which 100+ years old/ancient is tirth.

Shree Arihant Shwetamber Murti Pujak Jain Sangh (AJS) was established from Ghar Derasar in year 2022 for practicing rituals and practices in accordance with Jain Shwetamber principles. The idea of organizing AJS was to provide a platform to propagate and promote teachings of Jain religion doctrines in Canada, and establish an institution for performing religious, social, and cultural activities for an ever-increasing Jain community in Greater Toronto Region.

With a sizable community leaving in western side of Greater Toronto, there has been a strong need for a Shikharbandi Jinalay (Jain place of worship) in the area. Considering the need, group of community leaders took an initiative to form AJS and as a good head start, AJS recieved 6 Anjan Salaka Pratimajis (the first in Canada) from Shivaniben Rushabhai Shah’s family and placed them in AJS Jinalaya.

Given the vastness & complexity of Jainism and varied practices among different interpretations and various Jain sects, AJS will strive to follow core, fundamental principles and beliefs of Shwetamber Murtipujaks.
